In other words, the big spider 3 150w with a tube power amp sounds almost identically to the 15w lin6 amp my friend has. I'm not a fan of the tone, and so I'm not wild about it. so, unless you really need stupid large amounts of volume, i don't see a huge benefit in going with the spider 3 over the spider 2. i was really surprised how little difference the tubes made, except to make them (as I said earlier) just stupid loud.
