Research, if you research into a part you want to play, then it can be easier to understand. When i had to play a homeless woman, i used stories from the internet to help get background information. It help alot.

Becoming the person you're playing. Do research, go to the same environment; house, country, park, etc. Spend as much time there until you actually believe you are the person you're acting as. BECOME THE PERSON! Then every word you say, every movement you make will be natural and believeable.
