Position:Home>Performing Arts> What Kind Of Acoustic Guitar for Beginner??

Question:I'm 13 and my elective is beginnning guitar and i need to buy an acoustic guitar for that class. I need a guitar that's not cheap and not too expensive. NO "first act" guitars cuz my teacher said that while they are inexpensive they don't really keep up with the constant playing and so it might break. My teacher wants us to get the brands like Yamaha, Ibinez, Takamine, etc. SO PLEASE HELP!! i need to buy a guitar this weekend!!

TAKAMINE!! I have one, my son owns one, swear by them. Yamahas are also good. Are you going nylon strings or steel? Either way TAKAMINE. I also own an Ibanez steel string and it is TRASH. I recommend you steer clear of Ibanez

hey how ya doin you should try a basic fender acoustic not that much and it sounds great, and deffinetly buy a case for it so it doesent get scratched, and bye a pick and a thing of silver bullet guitar strings, oh ya and bye the cordless tuner the tunes your guitar bye pressing a button, well have fun, i love it.

I actually really like Yamaha acoustics. Best "bang for the buck" as far as I'm concerned.

Cheap, quality guitars.

Also, seeing as you're kinda young, look for something with a smaller body. I remember learning on a Takamine jumbo, and I had a hard time reaching around it...haha.

Fender all the way!!! I'm a big Hendrix fan, so anything Fender is cool.
