I want to play the guitar ....... again?

Question:I have a nice acoustic guitar because i used to play when i was little. I started in third grade and stopped in fifth grade. Im a freshman in highschool now and i want to pick it up again. I have forgotten most of the stuff so what are some good websites that i can go to, to be able to teach myself. I have a beginner book that has helped me alot today because i felt like trying to play some stuff today. Im i to old to start to learn it again. i want to learn the chords and learn how to read music then i want to get an electric guitar. Does this sound like a good idea.

of course! your goals and dreams are important, so nourish them, and stay around people who encourage you---YOU ARE NEVER too old to learn ANYTHING----get strumming!

I don't think a book is good enough. I used a pastor and he was super good and cheap...if you have aby affliation with church stuff, ask around.

I'm 21 and teacing myself to play electric right now. First i started on acoustic my friend that has been playing for 17 years told me to stop on the acoustic if i was interested in electric to just learn on electric cause it would keep my motivation up. im going to tell u that you shal do the same..... and a good site to check is

Learning music is good but Tabs are easier to learn........ i hope those two sites help you out. GOOD LUCK!
