Rico is only good for beginners, so if you're not just learning stay away from those. La Voz is good for jazz. Vandoren and Mitchell Lurie are the best for concert style, which is what you probably need. Vandoren is a little more resistant, so you'll probably play on a 3 or 3 1/2, 2 1/2 if you haven't been playing that long. Mitchell Lurie might take you up to a 4 if you're experienced. Vandoren 56 is great, though.

My daughter uses Mitchell Lurie 2-1/2. Those were recommended by her music teacher.

I've not heard of that. Vandorin V12 is an excellent reed for clarinet. Mitchell Lurie reeds are also very good.

Rico.
