Position:Home>Performing Arts> Guitar strap?

Question:i've never used one before =P
does the skinny part go near the frets, or toward the bottom?
how do you know how long or short it has to be? in other words, how do you know when to stop adjusting the length? and are straps used only for standing up?

thanks in advance! ;D

the skinny part goes near the frets, and adjust it to whatever is comfortable. make sure you dont have to reach down to play then you kno its too far down.

You just need to make it comfortable

The adjustment is up to you. Straps are mainly used for standing up, so when you're standing up just adjust the strap until the guitar is at a comfortable playing level for you.

Skinny part typically goes on the back so the wide part eases your shoulder.

Length is personal. Some like it very short, others like the guitar slung low. However works for you. (When I was first learning I kept it up high and after awhile just naturally started lowing it.)

yes

the strap shouldnt get near the frets... i have a fender acoutic and the strap wont interfere with the frets, the body of the guitar has two metal things for the strap the strap i have is adjustable, most are adjustable... you can use it standing as well as sitting... its great especially when you performing... you can walk around more with the guitar without getting as tired. hope this helps!
