just put your lips together and blow

put ur lips around the reed/hole and blow really hard.

It all depends where you put your lips. I play trumpet too [: Put your lips on the reed like how you would smear around chapstick on your lips..then blow.

the reed needs to be securely placed on. you need to roll your bottom lip in with the reed on top of it and blow. i played clarinet, I'm trying to think of a way to describe it to you. hopefully that helps.

you should have the reed pretty soaked before you begin. before concerts i would always put them in my mouth on the ride to school so they were in good shape.

also you need to use hit the tip of your tongue against the reed for articulation.

Kinda stick your bottom lip over your teeth then insert the mouthpiece in you mouth (*remember to lick the reed before putting it on the mouth piece*) Then put your tongue on the reed and blow... Keep your cheeks in (*It helps alot*) and just blow... It's a lot different than the trumpet but it plays really good! And it's better! I play the alto though! Hope I helped!

Don't you have like a Direction book. The best way to get air threw the Saxophone is if you blow air gently into the saxophone. But then at the same time Try to bend your lips. Its hard to explain.

You were probably playing to softly. You have to blow hard for the tenor. The only reason my high notes don't play is because I need a new ligature.
