How do I take the tapes off my violin?

Question:I am a violinist, I've been playing for a two years and I am first chair in my orchestra. My teacher said I can take off my tapes now and I know pretty well where the notes are. I just don't know how to take 'em off.

You just need to peel the edges off and lift it up and slide it under the strings. That's what I did, and it worked well.

Do you think you could get your teacher to do it? Because you're not telling us what kind of tape it is.
