Anyone ever seen the musical rent, if so, what was your opinion?

I Think it's the greatest thing ever, considering the fact that i don't like musicals, but after my first time seeing this one i immediately fell in love with it :)

I LOVED it soo much, i ran out and got the soundtrack(OBC recording, the movie one isnt as good), and then saw it on broadway several times, and even though i know all of the songs i dont get tired of it

And although there are controversial topics in RENT, and im a christian, that just makes it even more...real to me. its not like those pop musicals, that nobody can relate to, its real and in your face, the characters are also amazing, and i just love it.

But if you saw the movie, but not the play, i strongly suggest that you see the play. If u like the movie ull love the play, if u love the movie, ull adore the play!!

I just watched it this morning. It is a great modern musical, but not for all audiences. Children, pre-teens, those who are offended easily or sensitive to controversial content, should avoid this one.

There are a few more out there you may like. Phantom of the Opera & West Side Story are two of my favorites. :-)
