It's vibrating against one of the higher frets. You need to adjust the action. This can be done by adjusting the Tremelo. If you don't know how to set the action yourself you can take it to any reputable music place and they will set the action for a small fee. this is what I do. Hope this helps!

Sounds like you may need to have the truss rod adjusted or have the bridge adjusted.

Adjusting the truss rod changes the action, or how close the strings are to the neck.

What kind of guitar is it, electric or acoustic?

Change the string...sometimes, it gets flat or doesn't vibrate uniformly.
A good string should have a oval vibration when you pluck it once; it makes an oval shape
If it vibrates badly, you won't see that oval shape and this is what makes it hit the frets.

N.NB. it has nothing to do with truss road or the 5th string would also buzz. Change that string only.
