Read, read, read. Learn about diaphragm support and vibrato and voice techniques. Read about the choirs and singers and theater and check out books from the library that can help with technical exercises. Learn a little music theory, too - being able to sight read music will help you. Good luck!

You should practice by going up and down on the piano with your voice

make like tarzan and "ahhh , ahahhhhhhhhh!!!!"

I'm 14 too, and remember, don't worry about being famous yet, just work on your voice. I recommend going to a voice teacher. I love to sing, and dance, although this may be weird, join the school choir, b/c they teach your the traditional training you'll need!

A voice teacher can give private lessons btw, so whenever you have time to go, you can go, i know you said your schedule is tight

Try singing along with the songs so you can have a guideline of what note your trying to hit. Its kind of like training wheels. then when your ready to try it without the other singer. try it!

You could try going to a local community college for vocal lessons.

Besides that it's quite easy to do vocal scales. If you know the song Do-Re-Mi from The Sound of Music it's basically just that and then you go up and down the scale with each ascending or descending note. But you also need to practice your breathing, how you stand, how you project. All those things are taught, not necessarily natural.

If you want to sing like her, practice that song along with her.

She resonates from the back of her throat, and is slightly nasal. So if you are going for that sound, practice your singing so that you can feel the sound or vibration in the back of your throat, instead of a little farther down in your diaphragm.
