Question:im buying used equipment

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: im buying used equipment

id say probably around 500 bucks, i brought a drumset into a used gear store by my house and traded it in (it was an old crappy ludwig vistalight) for a marshall cab and a line 6 spider III head. the head wasnt great but it got the job done and im not using it for anything professional. if you want to get really good equipment be ready to spend 500 bucks on a cab alone. the head will vary in price...

Be very careful about buying a used tube head - a lot of them out there are thrashed. Even if it just needs new tubes, that can be over $100 easy. There are a lot of 50 watt Mashalls floating around that are junk. The Vox AD100VTH head is $400 new, the Crate non-tube FW120H is $300. The Line 6 Spider III HD150 head is $400.
Cabs are easier - just listen real close for buzzes or rattles. You can get a good one for $150 to $200.

Around $500.
