If you can handle Shakespeare right off the bat, you're superhuman. I would suggest you steer clear of the bard for the time being. If you have the time, I would suggest going to your local Borders and looking at a monologue book for young actors. They will have many suggestions to choose from, and they will all be geared toward your difficulty level and age group. Otherwise, if you don't have the time (or perhaps in your case, the energy) you could always do a last-minute search on the internet for existing monologues for your gender and age group. It all depends on how thorough a job you want to do.

be grateful!

Learning the difference between "...not aloud to right one" and ..."...Not allowed to write one" would be an excellent start. if you are in high school or later, you should be paying much closer attention in your English Grammar 101 class.

And aloud should be allowed.

Try the "I used to go there quite a bit" monologue from Harold Pinter's "The Caretaker".

It usually leaves the audience stunned.

One word...Shakespeare.

Best writer ever...I like Hamlet, and your teacher will eat it up.
