Does your sister usually tell you the truth? Do you trust her opinion? Is there someone you know who sings well that you could sing for and ask his/her opinion? That might be another route, if you don't want to go on you-tube.

Maybe post it as an mp3, and not a video. I personally wouldn't put up a video of my singing, because I would run the risk of one of my friends uncovering it and laughing at me to the grave. But, it's your choice.

No, you should go to your school's music teacher or your church's choir director (or your synagogue's cantor, or your pagan circles incantrix, or whatever) and sing for them and get an expert opinion.

If it matters more to you what other people think, it's going to be hard for you to learn. I've been a professional singer for many years now, and NO ONE starts out perfectly, least of all if they forget to simply enjoy singing. If you want to sing, you've got to ignore people who don't criticize you constructively. If it's not a compliment, and it's not a helpful suggestion, it's not worth listening to!
