Does anyone preform Handel's Messiah during Easter?

Often, one half is done at Christmas, one half is done at Easter. The Hallelujah Chorus is supposed to be done at Easter, but usually done at Christmas. I have performed it at Easter twice.

That makes sense . . . . It's about the Resurrection.

Handel 's Messaiah was actually performed in Ireland for the first time. Ireland is a "Christian" nation, although his most fervent supporters were those in the Jewish community. I am fairly certain that Germany did not appreciate his talent, so he left and moved to Great Britian.

It's usually performed around Christmas - I've never heard of a performance during Easter. Sorry.

it usually is, but my high school chorus sang it @ our christmas concert. well, selections from it. it was pretty cool.
