What is the best way to memorize notes?

Question:im learning how to play the piano and I wanted to know what would be a good way to learn notes by ear. I know it comes naturallys for a lot of people but is it possible to train yourself into reconigzing(sp.) the notes.

start with relationships - thirds, fifths, octaves. There are ear training freeware programs on the web. Once you know the relationships then get a feel for keys. Practice is really the only way.

Memorize only 1 note perfectly. The others come naturally and that is if you know your cycle of 5ths and 4th.
