Position:Home>Performing Arts> Does it matter how much experience I have?

Question:I am a junior in high school and I want to be a musical theatre major.
I haven't been involved in musical theatre for that long, so I don't have that much experience being in shows.
But I have been trained and I am good.
So when I go to audition for college, will it matter that my resume isn't that full?
Will my talent be enough?

You have one more year to "get involved" in your high school and community shows. That won't help out w/ a resume for college as you have probably already started that process but it will get you more acclimated to performing. Once you are accepted to a college go to the auditions and get involved. If you were trying to get a scholarship a resume heavy w/ training and experience would be more important.

You don't need a resume to participate in college theatre.
It is a training ground for actors.
