1. Fender Stratocaster
2. Gibson Melody Maker
3. Ibanez RX (any model really)
4. Epiphone Les Paul or SG models
5. Jackson ( Flying Vs, Kelly, or Warrior XT models)
6. Schecter
7. Hamer
8. Yamaha

go for epiphone.. its a better brand.. ibanez is an off-brand

Off brand? That poster clearly doesn't know guitars. Ibanez is a first tier brand and one of the most popular electric guitar brands in the world, played by world class guitarists like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.

Epiphone is Gibson's brand of lower cost imports. There's good guitars from both brands. Some great ones.

The guitar doesn't play any song. YOU do. And you can play any song on any guitar. Go to a guitar store with a friend who plays and get what you like.
