First of all, definitely go with ibanez. Great company. Their guitars are fantastic.

About your question, most electric guitars have a slot for a whammy bar. If you're looking for an acoustic, they typically don't have whammy bar capabilities (unless it's an electric/acoustic). That aside, it really depends on if you prefer the sound of an electric or an acoustic. Typically acoustics are better for beginners, and if you're one, I'd recommend an acoustic guitar. But if you're more experienced, you should go for that ibanez.

I would highly recomend a whamy bar. But thats me it depends on what you like and what you want to play..

hey when u find a good one send me a song that u play ...lol
l8r good luck wit ur guitar

go for the whammy bar. My brother has one of them and it works very well. I bought one for myself a year ago and i find it good to work with as well

I have a very similar guitar (GRX20 Ibanez) i got it with the whammy bar, it is very nice and useful but remember -- a whammy bar is important if the songs you wish to play need to have the sound generated by using the whammy bar (bending the bridge). If you dont need it, then do not buy it -- its just a tool to make the songs a bit more interesting by adding a special affect. If you are a composer then go for it, it might come useful in the future.

if youre a beginner i wouldnt get one. instead get a epiphone sg or les paul. it has tune o matic bridge which is less trouble.

Yes.
the whamy bar is a good thing to have it inproves the playing and you can adjust it.
That seems like a pretty cool gutair.
I think you would like it if you got it.
olivia

gibson les paul...oh yes

whammy bars dont do much they just make long notes sound longer and it kkinda makes it vibrate a bit. that guitar is pretty good, u could also try Guitar Center. they have awesome guitars for pretty cheap. i have acoustic and electric and my cousin has bass and we both got it from there.

not always
ther good to have tho lol =]
whats best is to try the guitar you wanna buy b4 u buy it
that way ull no if u want it or not

i have a dean VX and i love it
and thats a pretty good ibanez

id get it if i had the money lol

yea its a nice starter guitar, better than many of the same price range

That's a really good guitar. Best quality in that price range.
There is no better or worse about having a whammy bar, just personal preference, Having one will make the guitar harder to tune and set up, though.

Nice guitar but never make your choose until you get your hand on it.. As far as a whammy, they are cool but on cheaper guitars they will get knocked out of tune. Locking heads are good if you plan to get crazy say like Ted Nugent or something. If your near a place called Guitar Center (chain store) you can get great deals and good advice. If you want more for your buck, hit the pawn shops. They will cut the price as much as 30% off the marked if you ask. The axes are used but you can find almost new for about 50-60% less than new. That way you get that better guitar for the same money! ROCK ON>

Whammy bars are good because you get to make the coolest faces when you use it. It's impossible to use one with a straight face...except for Buckethead.
