PLEASE!!! As a director we do not want to hear anything by Andrew Lloyd Webber of from LEs Miz.. Tired and overdone audition songs.

Best audition pieces are those similiar to the production you are auditioning for. Be familiar with e shows score of Aida, then find something similiar

I agree.. Defying Gravity from "Wicked" is an Amazing song sung by Idina Menzel. Same with No Good Deed from the same play

Depending on what range you sing in, yes, "Defying Gravity" from Wicked is an awesome and showy number, but "Popular" (also from Wicked) also showcases some excellent vocal skills, is upbeat and makes a great impression.
