The term actor, like the term musician, covers so vast an area, that it is impossible to give an answer to your question. I am a professional musician with three degrees, and make a nice income - 6 figures. But there are *musicians* with NO education who make below the poverty level - and musicians with NO education who are multi-platinum sellers. If you are asking this question, I would assume that you are young, and considering this as a possible career. Think this through - do the math. The chances of you even making a living wage are very slim - even though you may have a great deal of talent - so do MANY other people.
