Position:Home>Performing Arts> What Piano level would I be considered?

Question:I was just wondering, since some people I know will say, "oh, I'm level so-and-so on the piano.", what level am I exactly on?

Pieces I play are:
Beethoven's Sonata no. 17, Op. 31/2 ("Tempest")
Mussorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition
Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 2 in c
Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 3 in d
Debussy Clair De Lune

Thank you!

That would depend on the country you are in! Each country has thier own music examining body and these pieces would be on a different level for each country! Try looking up the website of the examining body in your country. AMEB in Australia, ABRSM or Trinity in England etc. Most of the bodies put out a list of pieces for each grade. I dont know what the private music exams in USA are called sorry! Or you could ask a local Piano teacher! They could SEE you play! Rather then random strangers. But these pieces are rather advanced so keep going!

I play piano but I don't refer to myself as any level. Just how long I've been playing and they say, "Wow, you're so good. And you're so good-looking too!"

You could categorise yourself as an accomplished performer if the pieces listed are full and complete versions, and you play them well.

You may think of adding more to your repertoire to be thought of as a truly accomplished performer.

probably the

"i sit in the house all day playing piano with no social life"
