Something that is very important is making sure that you are using proper singing posture.

1) Stand with your feet a shoulders width apart, to make sure they are a shoulders width apart set the heel of one foot so that its resting right in the curve that is on the inner side of your other foot, then rotate that foot so that it's facing straight forward.

2) distribute your weight evenly but do NOT lock your knees keep then relaxed

3) find the perfect alingment, this does not mean you need to stand up straight as though your back is a ruler, this juts means that you need to find that place where you are not slouching and it doesn't take any effort to maintain it.

4) keep your head level, do not let your neck strech upwards but don't let it get scrunched up either.

so that covers posture.

Next is breathing, this is VERY important, I'd even go so far as to say proper breathing is -THE- most important part of singing. You must breathe with your diaphragm, so relax, and breathe in, let your whole body expand, but keep your breathing grounded, don't raise your shoulders. Here are two ways to find out how it feels to breath properly.

The first technique:

Breathe out, let out as much air as your possibly can, then just open your airway and let the air come in naturally without controling it. Feel how everything expands, your ribcage, your abdomen, everything just expands and is relaxed and free. No tense, gasping breaths.

The Second Technique:

Lie down on the ground, then take a relaxed breath, everything should expand. Then sing, it will feel odd to be singing in tis position but you'll be breathing properly.

So now, its time for another point:

Opening, keep your jaw relaxed when you sing, and focus on the 'A' in 'say' spend as little time as possible on the 'y' and especially the 's'. I would strongly recommend that you practice singing in front of a mirror, look at your mouth, depending on how high the note is you should be able to put two or three fingers in your mouth. Just let your jaw drop.

Something else:

If you have acess to a piano and you know how to play scales, practice singing scales, do scales for half an hour, to warm up.

-Do a C major scale, humm it, then go up a semi tone start that scale go up a semi tone, hum through them.

-Do arpeggios, sing through them smoothly, then make all the notes staccato, go up in semi tones then go back down

-sing some toungue twisters

-Hum, a lot, its a very effective warm up and its very gentle on your throat.

So remeber, warm up, then stand properly, breath properly and open on the high note.

One extremely important thing though, if the note hurts, do NOT sing it song, either tranpose it into a lower key, there is software to do this, or gradually expand your range over a few months or even a few years by doing scales, gradually going higher and lower, and then try again. The best thing to do would be to get a singing teacher.

Good Luck and have fun with the song! =)

First off, If it hurts to try don't. period. It's out of your range and it could damage your vocal cords
Second, Try
Third, make sure that you can't just do it in a lower key
