I am very fond of Dust in the Wind by Kansas. It has a nice Travis pick and very meaningful words. Good Riddance/Time of your life is a great tune to play acoustically. Beatles tunes always work well, especially if your group has tight harmonies. Get hold of the Clapton unplugged songbook. The unplugged version of Layla is a showstopper. Nothing Else Matters by Metallica translates well into acoustic rock. Hope this helps.

everlong by the foo fighters (acoustic version)
basically any jack johnson song

Thank You from Led Zeppelin...if you play it acoustic it is beautiful..

'Pinball Wizard'
-The Who

I like a lot of the content from MTV's old series Unplugged. The Nirvana and Eric Clapton sets were the most memorable.

I like Song for Sharon by Joni Mitchell a lot. It's great to play on guitar.
Also, check out Emiliana Torrini's "Fisherman's Woman" album. It's PURELY acoustic and it's just wonderful. The whole album is great.

hero/heroine - boys like girls..

good riddance by green day?
not sure if this is what you're looking for?

and I agree with Sakura

plush by stone temple pilots.

or the whole nirvana unplugged in NY.

Why Worry by The All-American Rejects
The Cigarette Song by The All-American Rejects
Mona Lisa by The All-American Rejects

Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton.

tegan and sara!!

hey there delilah, before it got popular
frankie j, more than words
hanging by a moment(acoustic) lifehouse
TOP TWO
time of your life- green day
colin hay- overkill

but i would suggest mixing acoustic w. the usuall stuff, it comes off easier to people

Ballad of the Green Beret

Metallica- Nothing Else Matters
Three Days Grace- Never Too Late
Three Days Grace- I Hate Everything About You
Metallica- Fade To Black

Foo Fighters - Times Like These
Colin Hay - Overkill

Maroon 5's cover of NIN's "Closer", done live/acoustic. It was so great!

Fall Out Boy did a song called "Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy" and it sounded great. Then, they made an acoustic version of the song, and it was even greater.

Plus, any of the classic rock songs anyone has mentioned so far are great.

Many of the songs by Violent Femmes.
