Help me with buying a new guitar amp?

Question:So i've been playing for a while now and i am plannning on buying a halfstack or full stack. can some people tell what to look for when buying and how to buy it?

like, do i just buy the halfstack/fullstack like it is or is it better to buy a head and then some cabinets?

and if i do buy the head and cabinets seperate, how do i do it? i heard that the head has to have less watts than the cabinet, true?

The head does not have to have less watt. Contrary..!!! A power head will sound crisp and no distortion.
An amp with less watts distort. The pre-amp will overdrive the amp itself. Crappy sound.

But a good head , and when you have extra cash, add a 2nd cabinet of the same make as this will change the ohms of the amp itself.
