I asked my brothers for help but they are horrible teachers and they're very critical. Are there any good websites orpeople that can help me understand how to play? I just... nowhere I looked explains how to play chords and read music ect. (Don't say "get lessons" or something like that, I'm not retarded. Always begin learning with chords. Learn the names of each note, and then learn some scales. If you're not retarded, then answer your own question:) Well I would tryl to get to the nearby musical store and see if anybody there can help or order something online or any close friends to help you and at 1st those are hard but u get used to it well Good Luck get lessons.... duh.... lol j/k take ONLINE lessons search in google the following words it should comes out guitar online lessons tutorials read music chore notes "any song u want to play" notes (this should comes out the notes and core for the song) learn how to play there, put them in any logical order you want and it should comes out something with tutorial or how to on it, remeber to read the tiny words below if learn, lessons, guitar, online is in it. there ya go online lessons hope this helps -also those song that u mention that ANYONE can play... i thinks it's pretty hard... i can do the ABCs XD Okay, first of all, you don't suck. Don't use that kind of language. You are a beginner, and so was every other guitarist no matter how good they are now! My advice is to learn chords, then scales. While studying these topics, it is fine to learn songs by artists you like. Guitar music is often called tablature, or "tabs" for short. Some like jam play have about 7 free lessons, others have some free introduction lessons. Some of the free sites aren't that good, their not very complete, but I'll add some at the end.... some of the paying sites are great....I teach classical and acoustic guitar and have for thirty five years so of course I think that a teacher is the best way to go, but I understand that not all are able to have a private teacher so the on line lessons are the next best thing.
