Most likely, you will change the action of your guitar(s). Some people start with low action and never change. Others Start getting into heavier gauge strings, and higher actions. Also, consider purchasing an acoustic down the road, the naturally higher action will strengthen your fingers in ways that will pay off no matter what stringed instrument you want to play.

No Cons whatsoever except that your fingers will get lazy.

Try playing an acoustic guitar now ?? The sound won't be as clean because you got use to the lower action.

The only way that your going to see the difference of having a low action is to have one that has very high action....like that Estaban that their selling on TV. My niece bought one and I've been playing and teaching for over thirty five years and I've never seen a guitar that was so difficult to play, talk about high action, it's wasn't even playable......when I called the music store about this they said, don't tell me it's an Estaban...and I said, yes it was, why, he said that everyone who bought one had the same problem.....he agreed with me it wasn't even playable, mice could have walked under those strings.....if you played this guitar you would be grateful to have a low action guitar...it took lots of effort to push those strings down.....it not only killed your fingers but also your hand !!!!!!!! Having low action is very easy on the hands and fingers.....as long as it's not so low that it hits the frets and causes buzzes !!!!!!!!!!!!

the low E can buzz.

The only con is buzz. If you baby the guitar, it should be fine. If you slack and let the neck get a tad warped from age or temperature differentials, it will buzz like a mother.
