Question:I'm auditioning for Wizard of Oz (Dorothy of Course) and I don't wanna sing a W.O.Oz song, but i don't have any sheet music for any song at all and it's supposed to be prepared so I'm thinking about singing Jewel's-You were meant for me A cappella (because of the vocal range) but does prepared mean you have to have accopaniment ?

"Prepared" means exactly that--it's a piece you have prepared. It doesn't matter if you have an accompanist or not, it depends on the music you choose to perform. Just know that if you do something "a cappella," you're more exposed and less able to get away with mistakes. Make sure you can pull off the piece with noticeable emotion, dynamics, and have the ability to keep the audience engaged because sometimes, unaccompanied pieces can get rather dull very quickly without the interaction between two performers.

Prepared simply means you have to be READY to sing the song. Sometimes, the directors or whoever is doing the audition might have you start at a random place in the song, so that's what PREPARED means. Although, I suggest you get some sheet music because it can be really stressful singing a cappella because you can't really mess up at all.
