Question:I have a 14 year old daughter who can sing! For the purpose of a talent contest she auditioned for, I signed as her manager but have no idea what I need to do for her! What is the role of a manager? We need support...I'm sure we could find an agent to guide us, but how? And we have no extra money for anything. Anyone have any advice? I'm having no luck with random net searches but am not really sure what to look for.

A talent manager manages talent. You find jobs for the talent. Like this contest. That's a great start. Big crowd or small crowd, any crowd is a good crowd. Exposure is the first step I think for an aspiring singer. You will network and meet people at these events. Once you get someone to take over the talent manager aspect, then you can continue working on her skills and eventually her demo... if you have any other questions, email me.
