How easy is it for someone to teach themselves to play guitar?

Question:Anyone can learn to play.

It takes determination and practice, though. Which is not so easy to come by.

You have to condition the muscles in your hands to finger the various chords and notes. You have to learn music - and how to read sheet music (or should.) You have to get blisters on the tips of your fingers, have them peel off several times until a hard callous forms at the tips of each finger. You have to coordinate the left and right hand, finger pick and flat pick.

You have to go through at least a month or two of feeling totally lost, totally sucking at it, not even being able to play a single song, but you keep trying and trying until one day, the chords of your favorite song, start to finish, miraculously spring out of your guitar, from your hands.

After that it's all over, you are lost forever. That's how hard it is . . and isn't. :-)

I taught myself its pretty easy.

because u havent experienced anything like it

but if some1 teaches u
they have had more experience
ad they can tell u your mistakes

Depends on the person. I taught myself the basics without much trouble at all, but I've been reading music and playing a number of other instruments from the time I was in 4th grade. I'm betting its really easy for some people, really difficult for others.

Well, it is easy If you know the basics. If not then it's pretty complicated

It can be done & easy.............It took me 3 months before I played my first song............though my guitar didn't sound well, I still did it.

Practice atleast 40 minutes to 1 hour a day.

First, master the chords then the rythm & after that songs.

But remember there are 1500 guitar chords, don't panic be patient after all Rome was not built on a day.
