Position:Home>Performing Arts> I'm watching Wicked on Broadway and I have a few questions...?

Question:1) I've got three seats in Row R in the orchestra. In your opinion, are these good seats? Will I and my sisters be able to see everything clearly?
2) I read on a site that Wicked has a few "adult themes." What are these adult themes, and are they anything sexual/vulgar?
3) Every Broadway show has this souvenir book that you can buy. When I went to see Beauty and the Beast, there were many people walking around trying to sell it to you. Is it the same for Wicked?
4) How did you like Wicked? What did you think of it? Was it good or bad?

1) It's an OK seat. A little far, but you should be able to see everything.
2) Adult themes: someone commits adultery and there is an illegitimate child. No sex, though.
3) Yes, there will be Wicked books, dolls, etc. they will try to sell you.
4) I thought it was excellent. You do know it was based on The Wizard of Oz, right? It's a retelling of the story from the point of view of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Since the orchestra is usually directly in front of the stage and you are 18 rows behind them;YES!

It probably mentions Sex or Violence in the Dialog since it is a recently made sequel based on "The Wizard of OZ" Books written in the 1880's

I wouldn't doubt that they will have souvenir books, going to Broadway is a major event for most people.

Haven't seen it,but saw the TV commercials for a local production of it.I hope to see it soon in Atlanta,GA.My Daughter's Drama teacher loves it.It discusses the relationship between Glenda the good Witch and her sister the Wicked witch of the West.Margaret Hamilton who played the Original Wicked in the 1939 movie said it was one of her favorite roles, she used to scare trick or treaters with her witch's cackle after she was a grandmother. She also played the mean woman that takes Toto away.

one you'll be able to see fine
two they have a song where they kiss that is pretty much it and in the beginning they suggest something but nothing really is shown
three yes they will have people selling them to you
four wicked is an amazing play if you go and see it you will love it it paints an intirely new picture of the witch's of oz and you will love the singing when i went to see it it was beautiful i mean i think that i almost cryed when she sung deify gravity

1 they're fine seats
2 yes, they're talking minor sexual scenes but if u read the book then the scenes are nothing compared to it
3 yes, it's annoying 2
4 LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw Wicked last Saturday at Pantages Theater in Hollywood. I was completely amazing. Adult themes are very mild (took my 12 year old to see it and wasnt concerned).
There were some scenes which were so funny I laughed til I cried, HIGHLY recommend seeing it, you'll love it!
