Position:Home>Performing Arts> How can you make free sheet music on the Internet?

Question:I need a site that you con create music for free on. You can download something, though I'd rather not have that. I need to know because I am trying to transpose a clarinet piece into a flute piece. I know how to do that, I'm just not very good at writing the notes on a staff. I can get free music staffs, I need a software or website that lets me CREATE the music.

Thanks for your answers, and please don't post if you don't have an answer!!

I would recommend Finale Notepad. You have to download it, it's a free composition program.

http://www.finalemusic.com/notepad/

It's the basic program in the Finale family. I started using it years ago then upgraded. Upgrades are so you get more features and sound quality and whatnot, but they can get pricey.

I have no idea if this is any good, but you can download a free evaluation copy to try it out before you buy it:

I'm not aware of any websites that will allow you to do what you want over the Internet; I think you'll have to download the software onto your computer.

I use this site, print out free blank sheet music with time signature and key right on it.

http://www.blanksheetmusic.net/

www.blanksheetmusic.net

it doesn't let you write actual notes, but just about everything else! i use it all the time to create sight reading pracice music!

it includes clefs, key and time signatures, barlines, ect.

I would go finale because it does it for you. Just copy the music in Flute to the sheet music and transpose. Its free to download too! Otherwise try http://www.practicespot.com/manuscriptpa... is has different sizes!
