Take a folded paper towel or tissue to the head or bottom of it. It'll mute the rattling and give you a better pitch.

no

turn the snares off, or sometimes u can put something like a wallet on it.

put a rug under your kit dude.

idk sorry

You just changed your avatar!
Lol,Sorry.

tighten the wires.....re-adjust your bottom wire tension knob.....

no, the vibrations from those sounds effects the snare. what you can do it surn the snare off for put somthing on top of it.

I suggest turning off the snares, I think the vibrations are causing the snare drum to rattle however.. So I would do this.

I hope this helps! Anytime!..

There are 2 methods.

There are sets of pignets, or "Snares" on the bottom of a snare drum.

You can:

1. Use a drum key (Comes with your drum set) to tighten the snares along the bottom. Some drums do require you to manually tighten it by locking the belt into a snap. In which case, do that instead.

OR

2. Dampen the spaces between the snare and the drums with a 100% cotton cloth. However this generates an intensely ugly sound.

Hope this helps.

you could switch the snare off, or make it tighter.

but other than that, their is no way.
The reason it rattles is because the metal "strings" that look like little chains are ment to make that noise and thats what they do.

so just switch the snare off and you should be good!!!

if not, tighten it up some.

hope i helped!!

make everyone else play louder, then you can't hear it, otherwise, there's no way to stop the snare without disabling it with that lever on the side.

This is a drummer's nightmare.. My drummer used to put a tape on the underside across the snare chains.... Oddly enough, it helped immensely and the snare had a crispier sound.

Most people have already said my first thought--turn off the snare drum.
If you're a beginner, I suggest you browse through here:

I love this website, it's a beginning percussionists treasure trove. It has lessons series by well-known professionals, podcasts, articles on everything you can imagine, rudiment practice lessons, and the like. I linked the specific page for drumset, but it has SO much more. I hope you browse through it!

Your snare may rasttle because the bottom "snare wires" might be too loose. You need to pull the lever off, tighten the snare tension knob a little more. Then put your lever back on. That should do the trick. Good luck
