Position:Home>Performing Arts> Have you ever attended a madrigal performance?

Question:Not only have I attended one, I also performed in one several years ago. It was a lot of fun. I was set to direct them after my performance starting the next year but the college decided not to do them anymore. I think because costuming the show was difficult after our costume person became sick. She has since recovered but nobody has stepped up to start the show again. Perhaps I should think about that....hmm...

My favorite part is the wassail!

Attended, performed, wrote and directed them.

They are really fun and popular at this time of year.

Not unless you consider a CD a performance and my laying back with my eyes closed attending...

It sounds like you're asking about "madrigal dinners" as opposed to "a concert by a madrigal group". My madrigal dinner experience is as a performer (Renaissance winds and voice) and we've made sure people have a good time. It's a pretty middlebrow experience; you don't need to feel intimidated.
