I hope that it's not one of those Penny's, or Sears, $70.00 dollar guitars...because your going to be disappointed....someone in my family got one of those about five years ago and what a piece of junk....I can't believe that they even can sell those as an instrument, they should be classified as a toy !!!!....the strings were so high up off the fingerboard that I couldn't even play it....and I've been playing for over thirty five years....if that's the one that she bought just ask her if you can take it back until you can afford to buy a better one.....that guitar is horrible, lets hope that's not the one....I like to see a beginner start out with an acoustic from a reputable guitar store....they have a lot of great acoustics at the Guitar Center....and on sale you can get one for about $200.00, they have a very nice sound to them... the strings are set better then those inexpensive guitars.....someone in my family got one from me on her birthday and she loved it.a lot better then the electric that she has, I tried to tell her that playing on electric when your learning is not a good idea....electric doesn't sound very good until you know how to play it.....if this is one of those things where you don't want to hurt feelings...just make the best of it until you can afford something else....maybe you'll be lucky and the strings will be set so that their playable. Well good luck to you, and I'll hope for the best for you on Christmas morning !!!!!!!! By the way, the image of the guitar didn't come up, no image avalable is what's on the screen, I wish you would have said what brand it was !!!!!!!!!

The image doesn't work but it is ok if you do that. Don't buy an expensive guitar and find out learning is not for you.

well, i recommend guitar lessons in your school, and I thought that I was going to be a bad player, and it turns out that I'm very good at playing. my teacher said that I have talent. I am currently in advance guitar right now, and you should try to take it next school year or something.

What if you the guitar surprises you and blows you away.

The picture you posted doesn't work. Even if it did work, it doesn't matter, because most guitars when you're just starting are good enough. Guitars can be very expensive, and there would be no point in getting a $1000 guitar if you only play it for a week and decide guitar isn't for you.

Whatever guitar you're getting will be fine. If you keep playing and fall in love with it like the rest of us, you can always get a better one. I've gone through 13 guitars in my life, and I know some people who own over 100.
