What is a "Ghost Cymbal" ??

Question:My teenage son would like to add to his drum kit. He wants a ghost cymbal, and I can't find one. I'm thinking he has the incorrect name for it. He says when you hit the cymbal, it clangs, then fades away slowly, as a wisp of smoke would. Any clues? Thank You.

it is more commonly known as a china, i use a zildjian avedis total china but they are for more experienced drummers also they are a bit expensive.you can pick up different brand of china cymbals that are cheaper.

i have never heard of the term ghost cymbal been used before. by the way you have described it the cymbal may also be a splash cymbal
