Position:Home>Performing Arts> Bridge Pin Problems on guitar, quick answer please!?

Question:Okay, so i'm changing the strings on my acoustic. I unwind the low E string and remove the bridge pin (this is the first time i've ever changed an acoustic's strings) i try to pull out the string but for some reason it's stuck in the there. I don't want to cut it, and i've been pulling as hard as i can but it's rly stuck. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal, and i've looked online but they don't mention anything about the ball on the string getting stuck. Anyone know how to fix this please?

Push down on the string first to release it from the wood inside that's probably holding it then just ease it out.

Try taking a pair of needle nose pliers, grab the string approximately 1 inch from the bridge and push down. This should free the ball end.

I repair guitars and YOU NEVER EVER PULL ON THE BRIDGE. One day, the whole bridge will rip out of the soundboard.
The proper way, is to take nose plier, and slowly twist and pull the bridge pin without a sweat and without breking anything.
Push it in with your finger and it doesn't have to be pused in full force.
