Position:Home>Performing Arts> Would I quailfy?

Question:Does anybody know about Instant Cast? Do you think it is a scam or is it actually benefitial? I LOVE acting but the problem is that I am 16 years old and I do not have that much acting experiance. So if I want to persue an acting career I feel like it is too late for me. I am nearing the end of my highschool career so I am worried that if I want to apply to Disney Channel and my resume is practically nothing that they will not accept me at all. Can somebody refelect upon that and tell me what you think about my experiance and getting a job with Disney Channel?
Here is what I have done:
Ballet for a year
Jaz dancing (not for a whole year)
Hip Hop dancing (not for a whole year)
Gymnastics for about 6 years
I have been in a few plays (in elementary school though)
I used to sing in a choir for 6 years (about)
I used to be in an orchestra and played Violin
I play the Piano and Giutar

I'm in the same predicament as you (or at least I feel the same way, not much that experiance in acting) so what I would have to say is just apply....What's the worse that could happen? They turn you down, ok, try out somewhere else. And if you really want to be a Disney Channel star, apply again.

you will need at least a HND qualification in performing arts. and it is never too late to start an acting career. I started at 40 and have been in full time education for the last three years and have just started my BA hons in P/A

You will need to start out little and then advance at your skills. for say me, I am in acting at my school and I am progressing alot. Ive been turned down to many parts but dont feel like you are in a box of gravity and there is no more chances. There is!! Keep trying I know you can do it. Keep up the good work and GOOD LUCK!!

Don't do instant casting cause since I didn't join up like pay to be like a full member they won't stop sending me emails and it's getting annoying but I joined exploretalent and I got a call from the talent adminstrator and casting direstors were calling for me and asking for me I actually did one audition. Do a resume of Name, Age, height, weight, Hobbies, and a small description of you. also if you have taken any acting singing and dance classes.
