Dude, originally the bc rich guitars came standard with kahler trems, but then got changed to either the stop tail piece r floyd roses.so yes you can put a kahler on any solid body guitar.but if it had a stop tailpiece then it will require routing, which should b done by a professional,if at least to get some insurance on the installation. If you have the floyd rose on it already then you shouldnt have a prob with the lock nut,but still may have some body routing to do.if you have the $ and time I would definetly install a kahler on ur bc rich as,In my humble opinon there is no better tremolo system,Lots of luck and ROCK ON.

oh yeah,a standard floyd rose goes for about $400,I would spend $600 on aKahler installed and b happy. The lock nut will cost about $15 and would be included in the installation,You do need to have a tech do it though, good luck

Kahler is ok for the Bc Rcih.
I personally would install a Flord Rose Pro instead. It is patented with a double lock, top nut and on bridge. Perfect tuning.

In either case, you will have to re-adjust the harmonics since you are changing the length of the tuning and harnonics will be off for sure.

Measure the top nut to approx where the bridge will sit . Measure as close as possible since their is not that much play to adjust the harmonics.

The dead center is the 12th fret . The top nut up to the 12th fret should measure exactly as that of the 12th fret and the bridge where the string will rest.
