Position:Home>Performing Arts> In E scale for flute, are the sharps F,G, C and D?Question:Yes, they're the same as the sharps for the E major scale on any instrument. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yes, they're the same as the sharps for the E major scale on any instrument. yes Hi--look, you simply MUST go off to a decent library and ask the reference librarian to guide you to a good, beginner-level book on music theory. That would answer all of these questions for you, plus others that you'll be coming up with sooner or later. Although this was answered, I think I can add a good mnemonic device for the order of sharps in a key. In order from left to right, the order is: FCGDAEB- Five Cops Got Drunk At Ed's Bar. The name of any key is a half step up from the right most sharp- in your case- the key of E has four sharps, and E is a half step above D#- the fourth in the order. Hope you can understand that... |
