Romeo and Juliet questions?

Question:In theatre class I'm doing the Romeo and Juliet balcony scene. We will be using a set of stairs that leads to a platform for our balcony.

Is there a site with the "modern" English of this scene?

Ideas for where I should be in the begginning when Juliet is talking about Romeo on the balcony?

Also tips on stage kissing for a guy? It's my first time kissing or stage kissing anyone. Ideas for when during the scene and where on stage I should stage kiss?

She's on a balcony outside her bedroom. You've just climbed over a wall into the yard. (Her Dad's rich; it's a big yard.)

The two of you have already shared your first kiss. (Go back and read the party scene to refresh your memory.) So you already know she's willing, maybe even eager, to kiss you. Pay attention to what the two of you are saying in the scene. You'll find the right moments.

Before you do the scene, take a few minutes to talk to the actress who's playing Juliet. If you have issues about stage kissing, maybe she does, too. Laugh and joke together about the situation. That'll make things easier for both of you.

When juliet is talking about Romeo on the balcony it is dark, middle of the night and she doesn't know he is there. Your director may have a different idea, but you should probably be standing to the (stage) right or left of the balcon, remember that Romeo isn't supposed to be there and so is trying to stay out of sight for the time being. Stage kissing is really quite easy once you get the hang of it, your director will tell you if you should "stage kiss" or actually touch lips. good luck!

In the balcony scene R & J never kiss or touch - it's only in the movies when Romeo climbs up to her.
