Question:Does any1 know how not to get nervous in front of a judge?

i do my etude fine in front my friends...it's the ACTUAL audition that gets me nervous...and i don't get nervous at the Warm-Up Room, i do fine there too...it's just when i go up to the judge i get nervous...even waitin outside makes me anxious

wat's wrong with me?

Before you begin playing, just sit down, take a deep breath, and play. Close your eyes if you have to.
The judges for all-state auditions either sit with their backs turned to the performer or behind a curtain. Why? Because many of the judges are the teachers to some of those students auditioning, so they want the judges to be impartial.

So just know that they won't be looking at you at all.

It's normal to get nervous, it's your adrenaline, the "fight or flight" response. It's how you handle the nerves that makes the difference.

Nothing ,me too. You are perfectly normal. Don't make eye contact and if that doesn't work put icecubes in your pocket. I did it and it worked.
