Sure you can....I don't have it in a book but I know that they have it.... many renditions of it ......that's one of my top ten all time favorites on guitar....I have some books from Hal Leonard that has Patience in it and a few others....this book has the chords, fingers style, and the lead notes....so go on Hal Leonard's site and I'm sure that you'll find "Sweet Child Of Mine ", the only way that you could play that on solo guitar as far as I'm concerned is to play it finger style, it would sound better then playing single notes....If you don't want to go to Leonard's site call your local music store they always have that piece of music it's very popular.... but make sure that you ask for the finger style version....Have you tried Patience, that's sounds very good on acoustic guitar !!! I play and teach classical, that's why I'm so into finger style....a pick and I don't get alone too well, ever since I started to play fingers came natural to me, the pick did not !!!!!!!!!

of course it is but it all depends on what kind of guitar you have... and how far down the body meets with the neck... and what kind of strings you have! all great variables xD

I have done it acoustically and everybody really liked it - just wokr on your arrangement and the style in which you will sing it

The only way you'll be able to do it is to butcher it like Sheryl Crow.
