You should go to the guitar store and try to play as many guitars in your price range that you can find. Choose the one that sounds and feels the best. If you know someone who plays then see if you can get them to come along to help.

Go online and find a bunch in your price range and write down or print out the make and model numbers. (The store prices will be higher usually) You can use the paper to take notes about what you played and whether you liked it or not.

Everyone usually feels some pain until they get callouses on their fingertips. Try dipping your fingertips in rubbing alcohol and let them dry before you go to bed each night. That helps you build them up.

Part of the reason your fingers may be hurting is you could be pressing down too hard. You just need enough pressure to make the string ring clear. Anything more is a waste of energy and will add to finger pain.

hope that helps

aye

You should look for good strings and make sure the tuners arent flimsy. Also make sure the guitar itself isnt flimsy.

JUST TRY THEM OUT! UNTIL YOU FIND ONE THAT YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH, BUT, MOST OF ALL, LISTEN TO THE **SOUND** THAT IT PRODUCES
IT'S NOT THE PRICE! IT'S THE SOUND!

There is no guitar that wont hurt your fingers. When you buy one buy some light strings. I just bought a Epiphone pr 150 at Guitar center. It was in a starter pack with an electric tuner, DVD, picks, strap and gig bag for $150.00. It was well rated on a couple sites I checked out. They suggested D'Addario EXP16 strings, they are a light sting. A little easier on the fingers.
Your fingers will toughen as you play, the pain will go away.
You have to pay your dues to play the blues.

For around $115. I think you can check out the Yamaha ones or the Fender acoustics guitars. They should eb around that price too. You can find them both on

or if that doenst work out. There is always buying a used one on Ebay. Also check out the Ibanez acoustic guitars too. They make great ones that arent too expensive too.
