It helps if you've had experience or any skills like sewing. You need to start volunteering to different local plays, etc, and work your way up. You can't expect to be put in big shows right away. You gotta get yourself out there one way or another, and make sure you study your butt off to know what you're doing. It also helps to pick a certain type of 'help' that you'll be doing. Focus on either lighting, sound, costumes, etc. That way you can build up your reputation for that specific thing, and more likely to hire. |
