How can I tune my 6-string into 7-string tuning?

The easiest way is to tune the sixth string of your guitar to the tuning of the seventh string of the guitar in the song you want to play.Then you have to transpose every note that is played on the first string to your second string.Its not to difficult if you are proficent at knowing the notes on the fretboard.
But what I do is to split the tuning in half.This is pretty complicated to explain,but basically I tune the LOWEST string 1 and half steps higher than the open string of the 7 string and then tune the guitar to itself then transpose the song to the guitar.
I have had great success at this becuase I have come up with my own rhtyhms this way.If you need further clarification email
