Position:Home>Performing Arts> I keep flinching from my tosses?

Question:I'm on the Winterguard and during colorguard, I couldn't get the Angle toss right (luckily we didnt need it for this years show). But now in Winter guard I really want to get it right. I think I'm getting it in the air right, but when I do, I automaticaly scrunch up and flinch away from it. And the one time I didn't, I got rapped on the head pretty hard. This happens with many of the tosses we've been practicing. Any tips on conquering my fear of flying metal poles ? =/ (yes, I am planning on getting a helmet for at home, but anything else?)

i was on a rotc rifle team, so i've taught people with similar fears. Doing fast, low spins will help train your eyes and hands to follow the rifle and know when to reach out and stop it. This will make difficult high throws easier. Gotta lose the helmet, you'll be afraid when you don't have it in a show. Once you get hit and realize it wasn't as bad as you feared, you won't be as afraid of it.

uhhhhhhhh...... get over ur fear girl! I have no clue what else i should say so, yeah
