Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I loved the three tenors - Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti. My favorite tenor was Carreras. While all were terrific, Pavarotti's voice was a bit too sweet. And Domingo's a little thick. Jose Carreras' was just right! i never really saw any operas but i love sporanos!! i am one!! it's fun singing really high!! sarah brightman...listen to her and you feel your heart is breaking.. montserrat caballe, she is awesome! just listen to her voice! how can anyone NOT like her? Maria Cristina Kiehr. I do not listen to opera. I appreciate it as an art form but I just do not have a desire to listen to it. Placido Domingo in Turandot sorry Rena about as classical as I get is elo Kiri TeKanawa, the Australian Aboriginal Soprano..her voice is pure magic...almost a cappella performances. She did an incredible performance of all Puccini's most memorable arias...it's called, "Puccini Heroines" and it might have been reissued on a CD. It will make the hair on your head stand up and applaud. I've had the tape for 20 years and I think it might have been re-issued on CD. They're the most unpretentious and startlingly clear performances I've ever heard before or since, bell like and ethereal. Just about anything by Sarah Brightman, in particular La Vella Fantasia, and Dvorak's Russulka |
