Drama and Dance for 4 Years?

Question:Would it be good for College if i take Drama and Dance for 4 years of my High School. Is there such a thing called a Performing arts scholarship? I'd really like to persue a career in Performing Arts. So what are the benefits of taking Drama and Dance for all 4 years??

If you plan to pursue a college degree in the performing arts, yes you need to have drama & dance (and vocal) experience. The benefit is that you will have training, experience, and knowledge when you are up against others who may have been studying since they were little. Don't limit yourself to just taking classes, though. The more "real" stage experience you can get while in high school, the better. Check out local community theatres, as well as children's theatres, in your area.

Yes, of course there are performing arts scholarships to many colleges, but again, you must actually audition to get them and you'll stand a much better chance of getting one if you actually have experience!
