Easy to pick up. Hard to play.

It would be extremely difficult to sing whilst playing violin as the instrument sits under your chin with your head at a slight angle.

The violin has no frets like a guitar and is primarily a monophonic instrument.

It's difficult to get good tonal quality as a beginner consequently it's a Little difficult to bear listening to.

I'd give it 10/10 for difficulty.

6because i play one actually i am learning and its not that hard

It's easy to pick one up. Playing is the difficult part. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Dude, it takes three life times to become really proficient with the violin. Believe me, I play virtually any instrument that has strings, and the one I suck at the most is the violin, even though I've taken lessons on it for 3+ years. But If you want to play it, by all means go for it. It could be that you have a natural talent for it and will excel very quickly, but you will never know until you try.

You really can't sing and play the violin at the same time, though if you played fiddle, you might be able to hold it on your chest and sing.

The violin is pretty hard; you'd need to find a teacher.
